The Parker Family History website is a work in progress! I am still editing, and puting information online. Check back often for updates.
I am expecting the Andrews Chapel's church records from the UNC archives to arrive in the near future. This is the lost church records from 1755 - 1955.
These chruch records are referenced in many DAR applications and verified by the DAR.
In the picture above, I am wearing a Columbus Depot issue uniform that my 3rd great grandfather, Pvt. John Jackson Parker who served with the 25th Alabama Infantry Regiment Company A would have worn.He defended his homeland in the following battles:
Shiloh, He was wounded at Stones River Murfreesboro, Farmington, Chattanooga, Chickamauga, Missionary Ridge, Dalton, New Hope, Jonesboro, Columbia, SC.
He fought Sherman’s Front, at Kinston, and Bentonville.Prisoner of War at Goldsboro, SC
The 25th killed hell of a lot more Yankees, and then they killed of the 25th
